The Charlton captain has signed a three-year contract with the Boro for a fee of around £1.4million.

The two clubs were in discussions about the move for a number of weeks and we can reveal today that Nicky Bailey is now a Middlesbrough player.

The 26 year old joins Middlesbrough as their third signing of the summer alongside Andrew Halliday and former Rangers forward Kris Boyd.

This season hasnt been very good on the eyes well thats an understaement in all fairness i cant think of 1 player which has really stood out to me and said he deserves this accolade.

Fair enuff Tuncay had a gd start and is having a gd finish but where was he in december to february he was non existent on the pitch.

The dark horse for me could be Matthew Bates he has undergone the transformation from crocked defender into controlling midfield player.

 

If we go down i say we should abolish the Player of the year award cos they wont deserve it. But if somebody comes up with a goal which keeps us up they will get my vote.

We draw i think were both doomed

If ever there has been a time to stand up and be counted it has been now matty bates has really matured as a footballer this year and he wont need telling how important the game next monday he is a local lad and he is going through the motions just like us him and players like taylor and mcmahon put in the effort il admite they may not be the most elegant footballers but youll get 100% cos they care.

But all this effort means nothing without the goals

OW alves etc. the goal is the big white thing with a net attatched to it i know ya can see it so try hitting it for a change eh.
