Middlesbrough goalkeeper Brad Jones has been in Liverpool to undergo a medical with the Premier League club and is expected to move to Anfield imminently.
Jones, 28, is being recruited as a deputy for established number one Jose Reina, who despite his last-minute error against Arsenal on Sunday is regarded by many as the Premier League's best goalkeeper.
Jones was spotted in Liverpool on Monday and the Australian goalkeeper is expected to join the club for a fee in the region of £2.3 million.

Leicester and Middlesbrough got off the mark in the Championship after an entertaining stalemate.
DJ Campbell's shot was deflected narrowly over before Andy King rattled the bar and Steve Howard headed wide as the hosts dominated early on.
Boro responded and David Wheater nodded wide and Luke Williams shot off target.
After the break, Campbell went close with a diving header and Howard's curler was saved by Jason Steele, while Scott McDonald went close for Boro.
